Italian crime blogger Francesco, a friend of The True Crime Weblog, sent this story my way. Someone in the Italian town of Ostuni may have taken their cue from the Godfather movies. A horse’s head and rifle bullets were deposited near the office of the town’s vice-mayor. A mysterious phone call to the local Carabinieri let the cops know a “small gift” had been left for vice-Mayor Vincenzo Pomes.
